Yara van der Velden

Yara van der Velden is a photographer, image editor and producer. Her practice moves between making, collecting and dissecting images, often exploring imaging, indexing, collecting and the paradoxical aesthetics of stock photography. She develops her projects through installations, collages, editorial collaborations and commissioned works, with a research-driven approach to visual storytelling. As an image editor, she has worked with NRC Next, De Correspondent and currently Follow the Money. She also produces cultural programs at Avanti Almere.
