Mariska Beljon is Coordinator and Context tutor at the BA department of Interior Architecture and Furniture Design at KABK.
Mariska Beljon (Eindhoven, 1979) was trained as a visual artist and art historian and worked as freelance writer/editor/coordinator/(guest)curator for a.o. De Witte Raaf, Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, H+F Collection, Caldic Collection and Museum De Lakenhal. In her practice, she is specifically interested in the phenomenon of fictional artists as a vehicle for institutional critique, and in the underlying formats and structures of exhibition making.
Since 2014, Mariska Beljon works as a tutor and coordinator at IAFD. Her role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities including the planning, realization, and organisation of the educational programme and related activities, ensuring that the department runs smoothly and efficiently.
