Lada Hršak is Studio tutor at the BA department of Interior Architecture and Furniture Design at KABK, the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague.
Lada Hršak is an architect, researcher, educator, and founder of the cross-disciplinary and multi-vocal studio Bureau LADA (Landscape, Architecture, Design, Action).
Following her training at the Faculty of Architecture at University of Zagreb, Hršak completed the postgraduate program at The Berlage Institute in Amsterdam. Coming from a family of scientists, she intuitively combines scientific knowledge with the fields of humanities and the arts. Her work explores the social capacities of the architectural discipline through direct community engagement, as well as performative and built interventions.
The studio’s research initiative Shallow Waters was selected for the Parallel Program of the Dutch pavilion at the 2021 Venice Architecture Biennial. Parallel to her design work, Hršak is a member of several advisory committees and teaches regularly.
Current teaching engagements are at Royal Academy of the Art in The Hague, Design Academy Eindhoven, Amsterdam Academy of Architecture, Gerrit Rietveld Academy all in the Netherlands. Bureau LADA operates between Amsterdam, Cairo, Venice, and Zagreb
