Between Curtains
You might be seduced by the appearance of Between Curtains, but do not let that happen. The aesthetic experiment is about the creation of a veil around the individual in today’s society. A veil that is created and constructed by the individual itself. The closed-off facades captured during photographic research in Mariahoeve are a physical example of this phenomenon. Where the representation of the Self on social media could be seen as a metaphorical example, do these filtered images represent real life or fictional life? Between Curtains, is the translation of this observation. Where in today’s society we rather are seduced by the aesthetics than to confront and dive deeper.
