Mans Shepers is an assistant Professor and post-doctoral researcher at the University of Groningen, with research interests in archeology, agronomy, and ecology.
His work focusses on the complex interactions between people and the natural environment in dynamic coastal landscapes, especially those of the Dutch and German coastal salt marshes.
As a founding member of the Young Wadden Academy, he is engaged in experimental crop cultivation in the marsh area, working in cross-disciplinary research that seeks to find new ways to respond to our changing climate and the policies that engage with this.
