Why are they so attractive?
The shapes, the structures,
The sounds
The colours

I want to hold them
To feel, to squeeze
To hear
To admire

I cannot escape
The things define my life
And I like it

This year my mother moved to a nursing home
The household that surrounded her for almost fifty years fell silent
Suddenly abandoned the things could only wait

Wait for me.
