Three former KABK students are nominated for the Piket Kunstprijzen in the Painting category. They are Minnie Fawcett-Tang, Andrei Nitu, and Lukas Vonk.
Fine Art Graduates Nominated for Painting
Every artist nominated in the Painting (Schilderkunst) category is a graduate of KABK bachelor Fine Arts. The winner will be announced in November.
In the meantime, here is a refresher of each nominee's graduation projects!
Minnie Fawcett Tang
"The fact that I was nominated for this prize in the emotional whirlwind surrounding my graduation feels completely unreal. The knowledge that this prize gives me the freedom to work undisturbed in the studio for a while already gives me peace of mind. This allows me to really concentrate on making work for the exhibitions that are planned for this autumn."

Andrei Nitu
"I feel enormous joy about this nomination. It is a wonderful confirmation of the extremely meticulous working method that characterizes my practice. Lukas Vonk
