Fifteen KABK alums come together for the tenth edition of OYO (On Your Own), an annual exhibition initiated by the Haagse Kunstkring, inviting recent graduates to showcase their work together.
Over a decade, OYO carries with it a growing history, connecting emerging artists from the academy with the public and the wider Hague art scene. Our individual practices have developed across different departments, backgrounds, and disciplines. As a collective group, we find ourselves on the precipice between student life and the professional world. OYO is a celebration of all the labour and time that has brought us here.
The works move and are static, are wet and dry, are structured and disordered, cover entire walls and invite you to look at absence. Gathered under one roof, they offer a temporary glimpse into the many ways artistic work can take shape, while we organise the exhibition and raise a glass to the occasion together.
We warmly invite you to celebrate together with us at the opening event on 22 October from 18:00 - 22:00, with performances by participating artists.
