Admission requirements
As part of the admission and selection procedure for the Bachelor Textile and Fashion programme, you’ll be asked to prepare a digital portfolio with examples of earlier work and explain your motivation to study at the Textile and Fashion department of the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague (KABK).

General requirements
High school diploma
High school diploma comparable to a Dutch VWO, HAVO or MBO 4 diploma.
You can check the equivalent Dutch level of your diploma on the Nuffic website.- Proficiency in both spoken and written English
Non-EU/EEA candidates are required to provide proof of English Language proficiency.
EU/EEA candidates' English language level will be assessed during their interview/entry examination day.

1 PDF, max 20MB.
Your portfolio should include (pictures of) your work, sketches, material experiment, etc. We prefer to see work you did not make as a school assignment, but as an expression of your own fascination and creativity. Feel free to show the process of your work. From the early investigations and experiments to your most recent explorations.

In your letter of motivation, you’ll describe your interests and fascination for textile, fashion and art. We would like to get a clear idea of your passion and ambition for this field.
Your resume showcases your work experience and your extracurricular activities. It gives a clear picture of who you are and what you do.

Application/portfolio deadline: In order to apply, you must first register in Studielink (Dutch national database for admission to higher education) and then gain access to our online application system OSIRIS where you will be asked to submit your portfolio and other supporting documents.
Admission days/interviews: After the deadline, the selection committee reviews your portfolio and other documents and decides whether you will be invited for an admission interview. If the committee decides positively, you will receive an e-mail with more information on this phase of the process.
* Applications received after 2 March may be considered only if places remain. Applying after 2 March therefore does not guarantee that your application will be processed.
