The KABK Fashion Show 2026: New talent in the spotlight

On Thursday, 28 May, the Textile & Fashion Department of the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague (KABK) presented a new generation of designers during The Fashion Show 2026, held at the location where experiments begin and designs come to life.

For 2026, the graduate presentations are split into two events; The Fashion Show (28 May) and The Textile Show (September 2026)

Anahita Karimi receives the Keep an Eye Textile & Fashion Scholarship

During The Fashion Show, the winner of the Keep an Eye Textile & Fashion Scholarship was announced. All Textile & Fashion graduates competed for this prestigious award, which invests in their creative future. The jury was composed of various generations of Textile & Fashion Department alums: Moe Kim (Textile Artist), Stijn Koks (Head design Stijn Koks), and Nadie Borggreve (Visual Artist). They unanimously selected Anahita Karimi as the winner.

The jury praised her for her idiosyncratic and original handwriting which is already deeply rooted in fashion. With a personal and sculptural approach, Anahita consistently communicates a compelling contemporary feeling. Her work is intense and authentic, and her plans for her further development as a designer reflect a convincing drive for knowledge. She aims to explore the possibilities of fashion as a means of communication and its potential impact, with well-considered and confident plans that have left the jury eager to see the next exciting steps of her burgeoning career.

With the help of the Keep an Eye Textile & Fashion Scholarship, Anahita can now invest in the development of her artistic and research practice. The scholarship, worth €10,000, is granted to support further creative development through education, for example in the form of a follow-up study in an (international) master's program. This award is made possible by the Keep an Eye Foundation.
