The research lectorate Art Theory & Practice at the Royal Academy of Art The Hague (KABK) is delighted to invite you to the two-day symposium 'International Artistic Research Days at KABK: Taking the Chairs off the Table' taking place on 16 & 17 March. Join us together with other international participants in sharing achievements and dilemmas in the current European institutional context of Artistic Research.
The lectorate stimulates research in visual art and design. Together with the lectorate Design it constitutes and develops a structural level of research at the KABK. Its task is to stimulate and position artistic practices as research as well as theoretical research. The aims of the lectorate are also to promote the entanglement of theoretical and practical education, and to stimulate students and teachers to engage in research. As such, it organises lectures and symposia in light of current developments in the field of art, related to artistic research.
