Participation in the Orientation Course is subject to a selection procedure. This procedure takes the form of an admission day at the KABK before the start of each course.
Upcoming admission days
Admission day: 31 January 2026
Admission day for the course: 7 February 2026 to 6 June 2026.
Applications: Submit at least 1 day before admission day.
Academic year 2026–2027
The admission days for the courses in academic year 2026-2027 will be announced in May 2026.

NOTE: The second course can be followed as an advanced course, after finishing the first one. In this case, no second admittance is necessary.

You start your application for the Orientation Course by creating an account in our online application system Osiris.
During the application procedure, you will have to upload a copy of your passport or identification card. Please make sure these files are ready to upload before you start the application process.

Presentation of portfolio at KABK
On the admission day you are expected at the KABK at 10.15, where you will be welcomed and provided with a space to showcase your portfolio.

- Filled in questionnaire you received upon registration
You will be able to discuss your work and the questionnaire. From 11.00 to 15.00 group interviews will be held with all candidates and the admissions committee.
Result of admission
Official enrolment
Your official enrolment at the Orientation Course is completed upon payment of the course fees.
- The cost for the course is for 15 Saturdays, including a full-day excursion.
- If you are admitted, the full amount must be paid before the start of the course. You will automatically receive a message about this from the financial administration.
- No course fee will be refunded in the event of illness, absence or premature departure from the course.
- If, after attending the admission day, you decide not to participate in the course, this should be communicated to the department before the start of the first lesson. If participation in the course is not cancelled in time, a fee of €95 will be charged for administrative costs.
