For the academic year 2023-2024 the course dates are:

Course 1: 16 September 2023 – 20 January 2024
Admission date: Saturday 9 September 2023

Course 2: 3 February2-24 – 8 June 2024
Admission date: Saturday 27 January 2024

Please note: The KABK cannot arrange a residence permit for non-EU/EEA Orientation Course candidates.

In order to start your application at the Orientation Course of the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague (KABK), you need to create an account in our online application system Osiris.

During the application procedure, you will have to upload a copy of your passport or identification card. Please make sure these files are ready to upload before you start the application process.

Once your registration via Osiris is confirmed, you will receive an e-mail by our Student Administration with detailed information about the next steps of the application procedure.

Participation in the course is subject to a selection procedure. This procedure takes the form of an admission day at the KABK consisting of:

  • Portfolio presentation
  • Questionnaire
  • Assignment

The examination committee will review your portfolio, presentation and assignment and you will be notified at the end of the admission day, if you are admitted to the Orientation Course at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague (KABK).

Your official enrolment at the Orientation Course is completed upon payment of the tuition fees. The amount must be paid in advance for the entire course. No tuition will be refunded in case of illness, absence or premature withdrawal from the course. Related information will be sent to you by our student administration office via e-mail.
