Andrew Valkenburg was born in 1958 in Delft. He grew up in the picturesque province of Friesland and later moved to Den Haag in 1980 to attend the School for Photography. After graduating, he embarked on a career as a freelance photographer, focusing on illustrative work for posters and magazines.

In 1991, Andrew seized the opportunity to work at the Photography Workshop of the KABK (Royal Academy of Arts) in Den Haag. His responsibilities included acquiring photographic equipment and maintaining studio spaces. Over time, he combined this role with teaching Technical Skills.

As a seasoned photographer who honed his craft during the analogue era, Andrew possesses extensive experience in various photography techniques and light setups. Recently, he has also delved into the realm of artificial intelligence. Additionally, he has embarked on a late musical career, creating his own virtual band named Passion & Adrian.
