Maria Rey-Lamslag

Curator, Nest Exhibition Project 2022

Maria Rey-Lamslag (NL, 1988) is a Rotterdam-based researcher, documentary film maker and curator with a background in Art History (BA) and Critical Heritage Studies (MA).

As curator she has experience in concepting and creating public programmes and exhibitions, centralising museum archives, historical collections and contemporary art. With her broad interests and analytic approach she is involved in concepting and (narrative) writing for different kinds of exhibitions and art presentations. However, with her Indo-European background and a small documentary portfolio on the Dutch colonial past and Indonesia, she is becoming more and more specialized in working on exhibitions related to Dutch and Indonesian histories. Maria has worked with art initiatives like the Migratie Museum Den Haag, NEST and MAMA Rotterdam and institutions like the Amsterdam Museum, the Tropenmuseum and the Rijksmuseum.
