Application procedure - How to apply

All exchange students (Erasmus, Non Erasmus & Free movers/visiting students) are requested to complete all the steps for the application as mentioned below.

Create an account

Application for an exchange period at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague (KABK) runs via our online application programme Osiris.

Upload your portfolio & requested documents

After creating your account in the application system, you will be asked to upload the following documents.
  • Copy of your passport (jpeg or pdf)
  • Passport photo (jpeg)
  • Motivation letter (pdf)
  • Portfolio (pdf, maximum 75MB)
  • Recommendation/Nomination letter from your International Coordinator (pdf)

Await decision

within 5 weeks from deadline

Your application will be assessed by the relevant department and you will be notified about the result by e-mail.

Confirm your attendance

If you are among the selected applicants, you will be requested to confirm your attendance and proceed with the necessary arrangements prior to your arrival to The Netherlands.

For Free mover/visiting students this includes payment of the tuition fees.
