Françoise Berserik (1949, The Hague) is stone carver, book designer, graphic designer and teacher trained at the Academy in Arnhem and at Reading, London. Françoise Berserik teaches at the Royal Academy of Art since 1996.
In October 2016, a small pop-up exhibition of trial and sample stones by Françoise Berserik took place at the TypeMedia studio.
Françoise makes headstones, in situ inscriptions for the Rijksmuseum and plinths for statues of Herman Gorter (Bergen aan Zee), Thorbecke (Zwolle), Willem van Oranje (Paris) and many more.
Daughter of painter Hermanus Berserik, Françoise started the publishing house Erven Berserik in 2007. She regularly curates exhibitions as well as produces catalogues and articles about his work. Among her clients for book covers and (scientific) publications are Querido, Arbeiderspers, Van Oorschot and Hyphen Press. Françoise delivered the keynote for Robothon 2018.
