The Future Body
The Future Body was a collaboration between KABK Fine Arts, NEST – Ruimte voor Kunst and Fit for Free (location Loosduinseweg Den Haag), taking place in the autumn of 2019.
Connected to the NEST-exhibition MyBody.com the students of the Fine Arts department at the KABK were invited to participate in a workshop under the supervision and close engagement of artist Tereza Ruller, in close contact with Clara Ronsdorf (NEST project coordinator). The workshop entitled The Future Body was looking into body-production of today, exploring questions like body-improvement and the body’s role in a steadily more virtual/visual society.
Apart from lectures, discussions and readings the workshop served as a platform from which students of the KABK Fine Art launched short videos dealing with the body as produced, of which some were chosen to be shown in Fit For Free.
