Several Graphic Design Alums Receive Awards

12 March 2026

The KABK Graphic Design department is proud to announce that several of its alumnx and tutors have received awards at the recent Best Dutch Book Designs awards. In addition, their work has been recognised in the affiliated international competition, Best Book Design from All Over the World.

Ourouboros Wings

Alumni Benaiah French (class of 2025) has won the Golden Letter at Best Book Design from all over the World for the book Ourouboros Wings. An international professional jury awarded the prize to this KABK graduation project. Ourouboros Wings explores the subject of the fatbike, offering a perspective on a phenomenon that is often portrayed negatively in the media. Through its light, tactile design and production, the book invites readers to engage with the topic in a completely different way.

Ourouboros Wings was originally presented as part of a larger installation during the Graduation Show (4–11 July 2025) at the Royal Academy of Art (KABK) in The Hague.

We congratulate Benaiah on this achievement!
