Alumna Lilian van Daal among the ones to watch

Alumna Industrial Design Lilian van Daal has won several awards with her graduation project Biomomcry 3D Printed Soft Seat (2014). On Thursday 21 December she is invited to the 12th edition of Dutch Design Daily 'Ones to watch' at Pakhuis de Zwijger in Amsterdam.

Lilian van Daal graduated in 2014 from the Industrial Design (former Postgraduate course) now Master Industrial Design at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague (KABK). 

Lilian sees herself as a mediator between the natural and the artificial or designed world. She experiments with innovative technologies and materials in order to create new shapes and structures. With her work, she won the Public Award Ontwerp en Innovatieprijs Gelderland, the Volvo Design Challenge 2015 and the Bio Art and Design Award 2016. Her work has been exhibited in Milaan, Vienna, Madrid and several places in The Netherlands. In 2017 her work ‘Shapes of Sweden’ was purchased for the private collection of the Centre Pompidou in Paris, France.
