Design Research & Speculative Technology

Martina Huynh is a creative technologist, educator, and design researcher exploring the socio-political dimensions of emerging technology. She has a special interest in alternative (techno-)ecologies and the relational dynamics in human-computer interactions.

In 2018, she founded Cream on Chrome - Studio for Interactive Experiences together with Jonas Althaus. The studio uses digital media & interactive electronics as a medium to activate current social questions for a general public: From the effect of journalistic framing, the environmental impact of digital media, to the role of innovation in heritage crafts.

At Master Industrial Design (MID), Martina tutors during the design research semester, as well as one of the design projects in the very first semester, where they question the socio-technical system of energy infrastructure and industrial production processes.
