What happens when a retiree and a wolf meet in a greenhouse?

The four-day interactive presentation and public program will bring you some mind blowing answers! Throughout the event, Forgetful Number challenges the audience to critically engage in an interactive way, creating different perspectives on the same works. A series of Contradictions allows new insights on the presented stories and on our day to day lives.

Within the presentation the photographers from Forgetful Number want to question the medium of photography and delve into the possibilities of our photographic practice. Therefore, the work will take various forms, from images to installations, but all are united in their shared desire to explore the photographic medium.

A Series of Contradictions is realized in collaboration with curator Femke Lutgerink and will take place from the 25th till the 27th of January 2019, with the opening evening on Thursday the 24th.

Public Program

During the presentation A Series of Contradictions there will be a vivid public program which gives the viewer the opportunity to go in depth with our concept and some of the works itself. These four days, the audience is involved in workshops, presentations and discussions with students and guests.

The program includes various speakers, such as FOTODOK curator Rob Wetzer on Saturday 26 January. The 'Blikopeners' will change their location from the Stedelijk Museum to this presentation. Blikopeners are open-minded young people who know how to open the public's view during a tour. The young people provide two tours every day. Be surprised with a tour full of interesting insights!
