3rd year Photography students present '8 Faces, 18 Edges, and 12 Vertices'

The exhibition '8 Faces, 18 Edges, and 12 Vertices' by the Solstice Collective features work of the third year KABK Photography Students. It takes place at the Grey Space in the Middle from 22 to 26 January.

The title of the exhibition is derived from the strength of the hexagon, which is rooted in its structure. As a collective we strive to embody this quality. Our structure helps our strength to hold the multiplicity of our perspectives. This exhibition invites the audience to connect with layers of materiality and abstraction.

The Solstice Collective is a group of 37 photographers currently studying at the Royal Academy of Art. The solstice symbolizes new beginnings and a point of change, as we are an evolving and growing collective that adjust and react to the developments in our world. We come together to create something beyond what we can do individually which results in a collection of stories connecting all our separate experiences.

What will we use this money for and why is it necessary?

We have created a budget of our expenses and we need help with these. The majority consist of rent for the space, materials for building walls, marketing materials, and other logistical costs. We believe that funding emerging artists is important and that as young artists we need to create a space to exist in. Any support from you is greatly appreciated.
