Fine Arts alums Aga Rymuszka and Taiyo Shimizu Larenas win Buning Brongers Prijzen 2026

Aga Rymuszka (Fine Arts, 2026) and Taiyo Shimizu Larenas ( Fine Arts, 2025) have won the Buning Brongers Prijzen 2026. Congratulations Aga and Taiyo!

The winners will each receive an amount of €4,500. The exhibition can be seen from 14 to 29 November at Arti et Amicitiae in Amsterdam.

This year's jury consisted of: Maarten Bertheux, Joke de Wolf, Sanne Luteijn, Fons Welters, Lorian Gwynn, and Rogier van Teeseling (chairman).

The Buning Brongers Prize is the largest private visual arts prize in the Netherlands and has been awarded to 174 promising young painters since 1966. Read more about the history of the prize here.
