She graduated from the architecture faculty of the TU-Delft with additional studies in philosophy, sociology, anthropology of cities and Asian conceptions of space. Presently she is lecturer at the ArtScience interfaculty in the Hague (NL), and conducting doctoral research through the Radical Materiality Research Group at KU Leuven in Brussels (BE).

Her work draws on her amateur background as yogi, theatrical performer and zookeeper, as much as it does on her professional engagement with architectuurstudio Herman Hertzberger, Amsterdam (NL) and Atelier Li Xiaodong, Beijing (CN). She co-founded both Vision Included (2009 to 2011), a pro-active design practice and discussion platform, and ALPEH (2013 to 2017), an interdisciplinary laboratory for the exploration of progressive heuristics.
