Neeltje ten Westenend is an artist, filmmaker and educator based in Amsterdam.

Her works deal with and take place in the public domain. What distinguishes her artistic practice is an anthropological approach evolving in (choreographic) interventions, (video and interior) installations, cartographic works and publications.

Like a film director, she develops scripts and studies wherein architecture, urban planning and rural areas form the playing field. In 2003, she graduated cum laude with a BA from the Design Academy Eindhoven, majoring in Man and Public Space. Besides, she holds an MA in Interior Architecture from the Sandberg Institute.
