Janine Huizenga

Janine Huizenga studied Photography, Audiovisual and Theatre Design at the Rietveld Academie. She has worked for Waag in Amsterdam as concept developer/designer and was creative director from 1996-2008. Janine has significant experience in education, for instance at Willem de Kooning Academie, HKU, Rietveld Academy and TU Eindhoven. Janine held the position of chair of the E-culture committee at the Creative Industries Fund from 2013 – 2016 and is currently the external advisor to the Fund’s subsidy committee ‘Experiment’. She is a board member of Bits of Freedom, an independent Dutch digital rights foundation and is a member of the advisory board of Manifestations, an organisation for Multi Media art with an annual exhibition during the Dutch Design Week.
