Applications for the academic year 2021-2022 open on 1 October 2020.

The Bachelor Interactive/Media/Design processes applications on a rolling basis from October to June, until all positions in the cohorts are filled. The exact deadlines for EU/EEA and non-EU/EEA candidates will be announced here soon.

Due to the limited number of places, we advise candidates to submit their application as soon as possible.

Note: Each application deadline above entails registration via Studielink (step 1) and submission of required documents incl. portfolio (step 2).

Please note that, due to the scope of the current Coronavirus, alternative channels for the application interviews are offered for prospective students. It is possible that application interviews will run via Skype or FaceTime. You will be informed by Student Administration or the department.

Studielink is the common registration and enrolment application system for all non-private institutions of higher education in the Netherlands.

  • Create a Studielink account: provide personal details (as stated in your passport or ID card) and previous educational information (studies, diplomas and exam results).

    Official residents of the Netherlands have to use their DigiD to login to Studielink.
    International students create an account with their own username and password.
  • Once your account is created you can ‘add a new enrolment’ by indicating the study programme of your choice under the ‘University of Applied Sciences – Royal Academy/Royal Conservatoire The Hague’. Follow carefully the steps and at the end confirm your application.

    Detailed instructions are provided on the website of Studielink to assist you with the procedure.
    Please note! Once you've submitted your application in Studielink, you will receive an automatic reply in your mailbox with the subject "Upload the required documents". Check your spam box if you have not received it within 3 minutes.

Start your application

After your enrolment via Studielink is confirmed, you will receive an e-mail by the Student Administration of the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague. In this e-mail, you’ll find your personal login info, which will grant you access to the Academy’s online application system Osiris, where you can upload your portfolio and the following required documents:

  • Portfolio (max 100MB) 
  • Letter of motivation
  • CV
  • Assignment
  • Copies of diplomas, passport and photograph

The selection committee will assess your portfolio, motivation & assignment and you will be notified by e-mail about the result.

If the selection committee decides positively on your application, you will receive an invitation by e-mail to come to the KABK for a personal interview. If you live outside the EU and/or are not able to attend the interview at KABK, it is possible to arrange a skype meeting.

By the end of the day the admission committee announces the results.

Your official enrolment at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague (KABK) is completed upon payment of the tuition fees. Related information will be sent to you by our student administration office via e-mail.

Once you are officially registered as a student at the KABK, you will receive your student card and a proof of enrolment.
