We are looking for a proactive and highly organised coordinator who can act as a central link in the joint research activities of the Royal Conservatoire, the Royal Academy of Art and the Academy of Creative and Performing Arts (ACPA). The coordinator plays a key role in the further development and visibility of PARC by supporting grant applications, strengthening strategic partnerships, and coordinating internal and external communication.

- Supporting and coordinating the development of grant applications and other funding proposals at regional, national and, where relevant, international level, for example through SIA, NWO, cultural funds and interdisciplinary or European funding schemes;
- Contributing to the development of strategic partnerships and sustainable networks with higher education institutions, cultural organisations, public bodies and other relevant external partners;
- Representing PARC and the University of the Arts The Hague in national meetings, networks, committees and other relevant forums related to arts research and practice-based research;
- Preparing, coordinating and organizing joint research initiatives, collaborative projects and events;
- Coordinating PARC’s internal and external communication through website, newsletters and activities;
- Organizing regular meetings between lectors (and management), monitoring PARC’s finances and contributing to the accountability of research within the University of the Arts.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an entrepreneurial and highly organised colleague who can move easily between strategy and implementation, and between policy frameworks and the dayto-day practice of research. You are analytically strong, write clearly and know how to turn opportunities into proposals. You are a connector who feels comfortable in artistic, academic, and policy environments. Furthermore:
- You have experience in research support, research coordination and/or policy support for research, preferably in higher education, the arts or a comparable environment;
- You have experience with, or a strong affinity for, fundraising and grant development;
- You are well informed about developments in practice-based research, research policy and relevant funding streams in the Netherlands, and preferably also internationally;
- You have excellent oral and written communication skills in both Dutch and English;
- You are an experienced writer and editor, able to adapt your language to different
audiences and purposes; - You work independently, proactively and in a structured way, and can manage
multiple priorities; - You are flexible, collaborative and able to work across different disciplines and personalities.
The University of the Arts The Hague consists of the Royal Conservatoire and the Royal Academy of Art. Both faculties offer bachelor’s and master’s programmes, preparatory courses, electives and PhD trajectories through the Academy of Creative and Performing Arts (ACPA). Research is a defining part of the institution’s profile and plays a central role in education, artistic development and knowledge exchange. Across the lectorates and research groups, practice-based and artistic research are closely connected to the curricula and to broader social and cultural questions.
PARC is the joint research platform of the Royal Conservatoire, the Royal Academy of Art and ACPA. Through PARC, the partners work towards a strong research network in which knowledge exchange, joint programming, external positioning and the development of new research opportunities are central. A key ambition is to expand the external funding opportunities for research and to build sustainable collaborations within and beyond the field of arts research.
