KABK x Kunstsnacks: A new generation of artists

Discover the work of seven graduates at Kunstsnacks Festival on 21 June. On that day, the cultural hotspots in Museumkwartier Den Haag are organising all kinds of snack-sized activities.

Kloosterkerk 21 June

1. Found Shoes – Kes Lugt (Fine Arts)

How does someone lose just one shoe? From this question Found Shoes emerged: stories told from the perspective of the lost shoe itself, brought poetically to life.

2. Flor de la Peregrina – Bessel Bloem (Textile & Fashion)

A collection where function, emotion, and memory unexpectedly intertwine. What remains of ourselves once we strip away the facades of self-presentation?

3. Allow Perching – Sonya Levchynska (Interior Architecture & Furniture Design)

Free movement and versatile objects stimulate our adaptability and well-being. These designs give space to the body’s natural mobility—experience what freedom feels like.

Pulchri Studio 19 June - 28 June

1. The Self at 50HZ – Omer van Soldt (ArtScience)
A rotating installation of twelve mirrors creates a symmetrical universe. The work invites you to feel undeniably at one with your surroundings.

2. 549. In everything I do lately, I feel that I am being tested. (true/false) - Angèle Jaspers (Graphic Design)
Who decides what kind of sense ‘makes sense’? This installation transforms psychological tests into a suitcase filled with playfully absurd tasks. Visitors are invited to make sense of these ‘tests’.

3. Ce que la pierre retient du vivant - Anaïs Lossouarn (Artscience)
A stone plate holds the harp player’s heartbeat. Draw close to hear the sound born from the same mineral body. Suspended fragments pulse with those who once listened.

4. Cache Cleanse – Gjorgji Despodov (Non-Linear Narrative)
A ritual for clearing digital residue, not rejecting tech. Phones rest as overstimulated companions while memes become calming charms.

5. Allow Perching – Sonya Levchynska (Interior
Architecture & Furniture Design)
Free movement and versatile objects stimulate our adaptability and well-being. These designs give space to the body’s natural mobility—experience what freedom feels like.
