Ikat & Oiale: Living Heritage in Motion with Amalgam Fine Arts student Jolande Pansier
On 6 and 7 November, we warmly invite you to studio Weaving Worlds at the NDSM Wharf in Amsterdam for the gathering and opening of Ikat & Oiale: Living Heritage in Motion.
Together we explored seven circles of connection: our ancestors, nature, guardian animals, community, and our relationship with the IJ. With our hands and hearts, we wove stories into a living archive, a mural and an ikat textile stretching several metres.
During this gathering, textiles, Indigenous symbols, rituals, music, movement and encounters come together.
Come and look, listen, feel and experience. We look forward to welcoming you!
