Guus Kusters

I, Guus Kusters (1979), work under the name Foyer Brisé. Questioning product, fashion, and the design process is central, viewed from the perspective of visual art and poetry. Seeing the world as a living archive forms an important foundation for this. I do not consider myself an artist or designer, but a border worker between different perspectives within the fine arts.

In the Master Industrial Design program, I host a range of workshops on archiving and play as fundamental elements of the creative process. I also guide students in the initial phase of their graduation projects, encouraging them to explore their research topics through making and acting, alongside their writing and theoretical research.
