Andrius Arutiunian

Artist

Andrius Arutiunian is an Armenian-Lithuanian artist and composer. He works with hybrid forms of sound focusing on synthetic aural fabrications, contemporary politics of listening, and the sonic vernaculars. He often works through installations, sound objects, and time-based collaborations with musicians and performers.

Recent shows and performances include FACT Liverpool (2021), Rewire festival, The Hague (2021), werkleitz, Halle (2021), Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam (2019), documenta 14, Parliament of Bodies, Kassel (2017), Contemporary Art Centre, Vilnius (2017) and MAZE Festival, Amsterdam (2016). He was artist-in-residence at EMARE/EMAP (2020), Amant, Siena (2020), BALTIC Centre for
Contemporary Art, Gateshead (2019), ZKM | Centre for Art and Media, Karlsruhe (2019), and Quartertone, Yerevan (2018). Arutiunian is a recipient of the Talent Development grant by Creative Industries NL (2020-21).
