Catalogue, a Fine Arts tutors exhibition
For the first time in a long while, tutors from BA Fine Arts are shown together in a group exhibition that introduces and celebrates the diverse artistic practices within the BA teaching faculty.
As an exhibition, Catalogue, can indeed be seen as a catalogue of sorts: an index of artists as well as a record of the practices and works that inform and reinforce the Fine Arts department. In this somewhat intuitive coming together, the works are brought into dialogue and humbly allow for readings that might differ from those when seen in their usual context.
Each piece is shown with a footnote—in the form of hyperlinked QR codes on the floor—which expands the work’s contextualisation and invites you to see the works as part of a larger whole. Not unlike our tutors themselves, with one foot firmly at the KABK and one foot in the artistic field beyond.
