My Practice, My Politics at Stroom Den Haag

The ‘My Practice, My Politics’ presentation by the Royal Academy of Art The Hague (KABK) at the Salone del Mobile 2018 in Milan will be continued in The Hague. The exhibition, compiled by Saskia van Stein and Agata Jaworska, could be seen in Milan in the 'VenturaFuture' section and was visited by thousands of interested parties. My Practice, My Politics will be taken to The Hague and will be shown at Stroom Den Haag from Saturday 19th May until Sunday 15th July 2018.

My Practice, My Politics offers an inspiring vision of a generation of artists and designers who recently graduated in The Hague. The exhibition reveals something about the position KABK has in the city and community and the role that Stroom Den Haag plays in promoting the practice of their profession. The Hague’s dynamic art scene and talented young artists are supported and promoted by a combination of projects (the KABK Invest programme, Stroom Ingestion prize and OpZicht presentations, among others).

The following artists are selected for the My Practice, My Politics exhibition at Stroom Den Haag:

Eline Benjaminsen*, Kristina Benjocki, Jean-Baptiste Castel, Yamuna Forzani, Daniel Grumer, Klodiana Millona, Miguel Peres dos Santos,
Katarina Petrović, Fahmy Shahin, Gitte Svendsen and Abel Wolff.

* A second iteration of the work Where the money is made (2017) by Eline Benjaminsen can be seen at Heden from 26 May to 7 July. In this duo presentation the work The Mushroom Club (2017) by Lisa van Casand will also be shown.

This exhibition is a collaboration between the KABK and Stroom Den Haag and is supported by the Mondriaan Fund, the Municipality of The Hague and the Stichting tot Steun.
