KABK alumni at Todays Art 2018

TodaysArt is bringing artists, thinkers, and audiences together in an ever-changing, yet inspiring setting. Also in this year's edition the festival features installations and performances by KABK alumni.

ArtScience alumnus Philip Vermeulen builds immersive, performative installations and provoking experiences that push one’s senses in altered states, dissecting primary phenomena such as light, sound and movement. TodaysArt features the installations Flap Flap & Int / Ext at Theater aan het Spui Studio.

Alumna Textile & Fashion Yamuna Forzani will host a catwalk intervention in the public space, including her newest fashion collection, as well as a Pineapple Kiki Ball.

ArtScience alumnus Kunrad works with sound installations, compositions, and performances. For TodaysArt he presents the installation Technology Imitates Nature I: Rainfall at the Gray Space in the Middle.

WYSIWYG (cinema platform initiated by Gerben de Louw, and Graphic Design alumni Mike Kokken and Ruben Verkuylen) takes over the extraordinary building ‘De Stille’ and transforms it into a temporary cinema together with designer Anne Kranenborg (alumna Interior Architecture) and artist Jeannette Slütter (alumna Fine Arts), who continue WYSIWYG’s research on the alternative possibilities of presenting and looking at exciting new films, relevant classics and overlooked gems.

DJ performances by alumni Woody Gravemade and Fabian Bredt.
