Victoria Meniakina is a tutor and internship coordinator at the Bachelor Interior Architecture & Furniture Design and was also a researcher at the KABK Design Lectorate Research Group of 2022-2023 and 2024-2025.
Victoria Meniakina (LT, 1988) is a researcher, educator and strategic advisor with a background in architecture. She began her career as an architect in Amsterdam and New York, before completing an MBA in strategy in Paris, which shifted her focus towards helping architects run more sustainable and ethical practices. As a co-founder of Agency Agency—a strategy and design consultancy based in Amsterdam—Victoria works with design and architecture studios and cultural institutions to define and communicate the philosophy behind their work.
At KABK, her course ‘Reality Check’ guides architecture and design students through collaborations with real-life clients and design assignments as well as supporting them to position their practices within the professional field. Victoria also teaches, and was a part of a research group, at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie, Amsterdam. Her research brings together architectural history and theory, environmental philosophy, and artistic research methods.
In 2023, Victoria completed a postgraduate Curating Contemporary Art and Design course focused on publishing, editing and writing at the Royal College of Art, London. As a result, her interests further extend to include different approaches to sharing research, from exhibitions to digital and physical publications. Victoria’s recent contribution to the book A Fray of Messays: Unravelling Research Toward the Deep Future, edited by Alice Twemlow, was published by KABK and Metropolis M Books in June 2025.
