Artist Talk with Helen Dowling
Helen Dowling (b. 1982) uses a multitude of images that she has found, downloaded or filmed herself to create video works that have a hallucinatory effect. GEM and the Royal Academy of Art (KABK) will present an Artist Talk on Thursday 16 May at the KABK Auditorium to mark her first solo museum exhibition, ‘Stranger on Display’ in GEM.
From 18.00 to 19.00 Dowling will talk about her practice and answer questions from the audience.
Helen Dowling graduated at the Goldsmiths College and The Slade School of Fine Art in London and she was resident at the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam in 2010/2011.
