As a platform, the Design Lectorate helps to nurture and disseminate research endeavours by members of the KABK teaching community through various means, including public symposia such as Fault Lines: KABK Research Symposium, exhibitions and publications. The content of these public-facing outputs is produced by the Lectorate's two Research Groups and the Design / Research Club. Additionally, the Lectorate runs courses such as Future Fossils: A Design Archaeology of the Here and Now, Speaking Across Deep Time: Designing Markers For Nuclear Waste and the Design and the Deep Future elective at Leiden University.
