Introduction:
Everything erodes over time. Whether natural or man-made, this is a fate that awaits all matter. Antroposion is a project by Arjen Witteveen that explores and speeds up the phenomena of slow disintegration. Playing with fictional worlds, complex chemical processes and various materials, Witteveen applies natural forms of erosion to man-made materials, merging the two seemingly disparate worlds together to create objects that make the process of erosion clearly visible in raw, uneven and fragmented final forms.
