Textiel & Mode
The Textile & Fashion Workshop is open and accessible to all KABK students. With more than 20 digital and analogue machines available, students are free to experiment using a diverse offering of materials to design and produce their creations.
What you can do at the Textile & Fashion Workshop
After following an introduction course, students are free to work with the machines on their own. The workshop has a range of machines including a textile laser (that is great for engraving), a knitting machine that works with digital designs, textile painting (Royal Colour Lab), textile full(!) colour printing and a computer-controlled embroidery machine. The wide range of equipment available allows students to process and adapt textiles.
The Textile & Fashion Workshop has close ties to other workshops in the KABK and beyond, as well as with textile suppliers and alumni who work in fashion houses or have started their own labels.
