About 40 artists support students in their learning. With respect to their own practice and interests, these artists divide into three groups: Sculpture, Painting & Printing and Autonoom. Autonoom indicates artistic interests which can differ from those in the other groups, more oriented towards concepts, performance, time based work and other strategies. The learning environment of the sections builds upon the interaction between the students and between the students and the group of artist-teachers. Although sections do not limit to specific artistic realisations, there are differences in discourse and programme. This specific climate builds over a period of time and changes with the change of generations of students.
