The Textile and Fashion department of the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague (KABK) staged its annual Fashion Show event on Saturday 16 June 2018, along with the Textile and Fashion exhibition ‘Exposed’ in the spectacular location of the Electriciteitsfabriek.
Next to the collections of our graduates Yasmin Boomsma, Yuki Ito, Tim Scholte and Laura Snijders, whose pieces showcased their contemporary and innovative vision of fashion and textile design, the show comprised collections inspired by historical and ethnical costumes (2nd and 3rd year students) and skirt-dress and silhouet pieces made by 1st year students.

Keep an Eye Textile & Fashion Award
Textile designer Joana Schneider was granted the first Keep an Eye Textile & Fashion Award of €10.000,- for her installation PLUIS, part of the Textile & Fashion exhibition EXPOSED on view from 17 to 20 June.
The award is an initiative of the Keep an Eye Foundation with the aim to support a fourth year student of the Textile and Fashion department of the KABK in realising their ambition to improve their skills after graduation by means of a further study. Both the Fashion Show and the exhibition EXPOSDED were powered by the Keep an Eye Foundation.
