On Friday 4 June 2010, a presentation is made to complete and analyse the Art Research Programme ‘Seeing and Naming’. From February to June twelve students of Leiden University and the Royal Academy of Art have dedicated themselves weekly to the seeing and naming of visual art. From four disciplines - art criticism, art history, visual art and philosophy - they addressed and spoke about art.

Participants: Alexander Mayhew, Carlijn Potma, Coco Duivenvoorde, Denise Telder, Hanna de Haan, Helene Ouwehand, Hillie de Rooij, Margina Ruiter, Margot van der Linden, Marit Turk, Sander Uitdehaag, Vera Butter.

The presentation ‘Seeing and Naming’ is coordinated by Uqbar, a cooperation by visual artists Irene Kopelman and Mariana Castillo Deball.

The course is organised by Leiden University in collaboration with the Lectorate Art Theory & Practice and part of the Art Research Programme.
