Winner

On 27 June 2009, Dorine Slot received the KABK Thesis Award for her thesis Verstrengeld in Woorden. Een onderzoek naar het kijken naar, het maken van en het spreken over een kunstwerk (Entangled in Words. An examination of looking at, the making of, and speaking about an artwork).

Slot is a graduate of the Fine Arts department. In 2009 she participated in the course Seeing and Naming, organized by the lectorate in cooperation with Leiden University as part of the Art Research Programme.

Jury

The jury, chaired by Janneke Wesseling, consisted of external member Hans Theys, author and designer of publications on the work of contemporary artists and lecturer at KASK, Belgium; Taco Stolk, lecturer at ArtScience and Ewoud van Rijn, lecturer at the Fine Arts department.
