W.J.M. Kok will teach the lecture The Thirty Sixth Series of the Next Kind of Series on his doctorate research at PhDArts. His research deals with the specific relation between the use of series in his work and the book Difference and Repetition by Gilles Deleuze. In W.J.M. Kok’s (1959) work, seriality and the monochrome play an important role. His work has been exhibited in a.o. GKG/Gesellschaft für Kunst und Gestaltung e.V.in Bonn (DE), Kunstruimte 09 in Groningen and Galerie van Gelder in Amsterdam. In September 2008 Kok started his doctoral research The Thirty Sixth Series of the Next Kind of Series. He teaches at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam and was a member of the research group of the Lectorate Art Theory & Practice.
