Thijs groot Wassink

Thijs groot Wassink is an accredited Gestalt therapist and team coach. He works with individuals and organizations on psychosocial development, group dynamics and interpersonal learning. Thijs was trained as an experiential psychosocial therapist at the Kempler Institute of the Netherlands and holds a Master's degree in Fine Arts from Central Saint Martins in London.

Before retraining as a team coach and therapist, Thijs worked for over a decade as a photographer under the duo name WassinkLundgren. His work has been exhibited in museums worldwide, and he has received numerous awards, including the Prix du Livre at Les Rencontres d’Arles 2007 for the publication ‘Empty Bottles’. In 2016, ‘The Chinese Photobook’ was released, a research project in collaboration with Martin Parr.

After working as a teacher for several years, Thijs has been a study coach at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague since 2019. Here, he works with young adults at the intersection of artistic creation and personal development.
