Jay Tan is an artist and is based in Rotterdam. She is a core tutor for studio practice at the
Jay makes sculpture, performance, sound and video. She grew up in South London during the eighties, assuming most heads of state were female. She believes in domestic decoration as an active politics and makes work with a soft spot for mechanics.
Jay received her MFA from the Piet Zwart Institute, Rotterdam and attended the Rijksakademie residency programme in Amsterdam 2015-16.
