Haseeb Ahmed

Artist

Haseeb Ahmed is an American research-based artist. He received his Masters from MIT, and currently lives and works in Brussels and Zurich. Ahmed integrates scientific methodologies with his art practice, creating objects, site-specific installations, performances, and writings that are often collaboratively created.

He is currently a practice-based PhD candidate at the Zurich University of the Arts, and has taught at the University of Antwerp, and Saint Lucas College of Art and Design, Brussels.

He was previously a researcher at the Von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics, Brussels, and the Jan van Eyck Academy, Maastricht. He is a founding member of the educational project Platypus Affiliated Society (2006) on the history of the radical Left in the 20th century. He has exhibited internationally, and is represented by Harlan Levey Projects in Brussels.
