Harlan Levey

Gallerist

Harlan Levey was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio and has been living in Brussels since the turn of the century. After working as the Editor in Chief of Modart Magazine from 2006 – 2010, he opened a project space that matured into a contemporary art gallery.

Since 2013, in addition to a vibrant exhibition program the gallery also hosts a regular series of talks, screenings and performances while playing other key roles within the Brussels’ art landscape.

This can be seen through Harlan’s involvement in CAVEAT (collective research into the ecology of artistic practice), role as external expert and to the European Commission’s STARTS program (Science, Technology + Arts) and work as advisor to Art Brussels and member of the Brussels Gallery Weekend committee. The gallery is also a member of the New Art Dealers Association (NADA) and very active internationally, participating in art fairs, organizing itinerant exhibitions and aiding its artists with their institutional collaborations while arranging opportunities for the presentation of new work.
